Finds of Roman Coins from Poland

and lands connected historically with PL


FRC PL is a project of the University of Warsaw untitled "Finds of the Roman Coins from the territory of Poland and lands historically connected with Poland" financed by the Ministry of Science and High Education in Poland withi in Pon the framework of the National Program for the Development of the Humanities (grant no 0047/NPRH2/H11/81/2012) curried out in 2013-2018. It is directed by Professor Aleksander Bursche.

The web database, based on the AFE platform, was developed by Dr. Kartsen Tolle from the Goethe-University, Frankfurt am Main, in cooperation with Dr. David Wigg-Wolf from the Römisch-Germanische Kommission des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts.

Work on collecting of data, data entry and editing was carried out by Dr. hab. Katarzyna Balbuza (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań), Dr. hab. Jarosław Bodzek (Jagiellonian University), Dr. Adam Degler (Ossolineum Institute), Dr. hab. Arkadiusz Dymowski, Szymon Jellonek (Jagiellonian University), Paulina Koczwara (Jagiellonian University), Dr. Kyrylo Myzgin (University of Warsaw), Dr. hab. Jacek Rakoczy (Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń), Barbara Zając (Jagiellonian University) and Dr. Anna Zapolska (University of Warsaw).

The data were collected from the following regions: Małopolska, Wielkopolska, Central Poland, north-eastern Poland, north-western Ukraine (former Polish Galicja) and Kaliningradska oblast in Russia. The data from other Polish regions have been collected in part and will be supplemented in the future.
